Twin's English summer centre at our Dublin Homestay location, is located near Liffey Valley Shopping Centre, and occupies a 100 acre wooded site on the banks of the River Liffey.
The location of the King's Hospital College provide easy access the main locations including parks and shopping malls. The sports facilities are first class with many professional sports people using the training fields.
The security system has coded access to the sleeping areas, so student can feel safe and secure. In the case of a fire, all security systems are automatically shut off and there is immediate access to exits.
The dining hall is very large and airy and meals are prepared by a professional catering company.
Accommodation
Our Dublin Residential summer centre accommodation has been entirely refurbished in the summer 2019. Most bedrooms are 5 or 6 bedded en-suite rooms. The rooms are bright and airy with views over either the grounds of the school or the internal courtyard.
Each room is ensuite and has wardrobes for the students to use. The 5-bedrooms have a shower, toilet and wash hand basin, while the 6-bedded rooms have 2 showers, 2 wash hand basins and a toilet.
We try to room students of similar ages together and to keep the nationality mix as diverse as possible (while keeping the boys and girls separate).
NEW FOR 2022
Students who like a bit more privacy now also have the opportunity to choose a Twin en-suite room.
What to pack
Some warm clothing (for colder days and nights)
A waterproof jacket (for rainy days)
Comfortable shoes (for walking tours and visits to the coast)
An old pair of trousers and t-shirts (for the visit to Causey farm)
An adaptor (Europe to UK/Ireland) - for all their electronic/charging needs
Students at our Dublin Residential Summer Centre (formerly Alpha Young Learners Residential Programme) can look forward to an engaging programme of both daytime and evening activities. There will also be two half-day excursions per week to various locations. These excursions enable students to explore and experience the Irish culture on a greater scale. We encourage students to practise their English by talking to the new friends they have made on the programme as well as staff and people they meet on their travels.
