Work for Twin

We are always looking for enthusiastic and professional staff to join our team in summer, including Centre Managers, qualified EFL Teachers, Activity Managers, Welfare Managers, Activity Leaders and Director of Studies.

Summer Centres are a great way for the less experienced to gain valuable experience; for the experienced to freshen up with ideas from the newly qualified less experienced; for those wanting to try their hand in a management position; for active, sporty, arty, or drama-loving people to earn money doing what they enjoy doing; for teacher development whether more formal sessions provided by our academic team or exchanging ideas with people living/working in different parts of the world; and, of course, to earn some extra cash while having fun, which is what summer centres should be!

If you are interested in joining our friendly and experienced Summer Centres Team and a dynamic and diverse company, please complete our online application form.

Brief History

  • Twin Group first got involved in summer centres in 1996 when the first courses started in St Dunstan’s College, which is now the oldest centre in the portfolio.
  • After a few years of running a small operation Twin bought ECO in 2001, which included 5 summer centres and two year-round schools in Eastbourne and in Salisbury.
  • After summer 2008 the Managing Directors decided to focus more on summer centres so formed a team dedicated purely to operating them.
  • After a couple of years of hard work by the newly formed team, Twin Summer Centres were accredited by the British Council after the inspection in summer 2010, and successfully passed the British Council spot check in summer 2011 so is now fully accredited.
  • In 2010 formed a partnership with Serviceline to offer a high quality English plus Tennis coaching programme and in 2011 started an excellent English plus Football coaching programme in partnership with Tottenham Hotspur Football Club.
  • In summer 2012 the Twin Summer Centres Team are offering courses in nine centres in the UK and one centre in the USA.

Our Aims

Our aims are to be recognised in the market as being a trusted provider of high quality, value-for-money courses in a variety of up to a maximum of 12 attractive locations, thus being able to keep control of the operational delivery and providing a personalised service. At the same time, we aim to provide opportunities for all team members to be part of, and to contribute towards, the growth and development of the department; to develop professional and personal skills; to try new responsibility posts, gain management experience, and improve their CV; all with the help of the more experienced team members.

Our Expectations

Our expectations are very simple. We want staff to feel part of the team; we want staff to be happy and want to return year on year; we want staff that agree with and support our aims.

Summer centres are typically a combination of hard work and great fun; they are short and intensive; and sometimes it is easy for the staff to forget the real reason we are involved. The most important thing is that we all really care for the students (and leaders) and do our very best to provide them with an enjoyable, productive and memorable experience. For many of them, it can be one of the most exciting adventures of their lives – we have a responsibility to make sure they return to their own countries full of positive stories!
